I've started reading a lot more recently. Mainly war journals, graphic novels, autobiographies, comic books, Hunter S.Thompson, and Noam Chomsky.
I'm still going through the stages of finding out what these spots they found on my liver are. The word is they suspect that one is a benign tumor and they think the other is just a collection of blood vessels, but is too small right now to determine definitively. So I have to have a couple more follow up CT scans to check for any changes in it.
That is all for now, keep smiling at the world, no matter how much shit it gives you.
So I've been in and out of the hospital 3 times in the past 15 months, always with the same symptoms and illness presentation. I've had to go through many, many, tests to include; two nuclear medicine tests, five computed tomography scans, many x-rays, a gastric endoscopy with biopsy, two liver biopsies and countless amounts of viles drawn for blood tests. It appears I am nearing the end to my journey of figuring out what is wrong with me. The short list of suspected diagnoses that I am down two now is only a handfull and they are all permanent. On the scary end of the spectrum is hepatic(liver) cancer, on the more friendlier end of it is auto immune hepatitis. Either way my drinking days are pretty much over and I'll have to watch my diet, and stay on top of my health.
For those of you that care thank you for all the well wishes and happy thoughts. Once I get a handle on the and what the final say so is on my health status, I will return to dA and try to get myself back in the swing of it.
Until then, keep smiling, laughing, crying, and living your lives to the max.
KC Out......
